Breathing Index Score
The maximum score on the breathing index is 100. A high score indicates a body in balance with ample internal resources, capable of handling difficult challenges. The lowest possible score is 20. A score below 50 indicates that your breathing shows great improvement potential. A low score indicates a body out of balance with low inner resources.
There is nothing wrong in having a low score. However, it may be advantageous to lower your level of ambition and try to reduce the severity of the challenges that you face. It is encouraging to know that improving your breathing habits can help boost your score and assist you in achieving better health.
What does the score mean?
Just because you have a high score doesn’t mean that your health is superior. There are two main reasons for this – a) you are unaware of your breathing. health and body, hence your answers gives a higher score than it ought to be and b) you have some specific issues that doesn’t affect your overall score that much, but please be aware that all questions that you have answered ”VERY OFTEN” or ”OFTEN” may need closer attention. One thing we can be certain of, if we do have a problem and we don’t do anything about it, we will not be better of ten years later.
Having said that, this simple breakdown gives you a general idea of where you are:
- Very good – Above 90
- Good – Above 75
- Ok – Above 60
- Not so good – 45-60
- Bad – Below 45
- Really bad – Below 30
In general, all people benefit from improving their breathing habits. But the lower your score the more you will benefit from starting with the Conscious Breathing Retraining Program.
